Who We Are

Portland Literary acquires interests in literary works, and invests energy and financial resources over time to ensure that they remain relevant and available to new generations.

Portland Literary was founded by The Grabiner Family Office, a London based family office with decades of experience investing in the British and global media landscape, supporting businesses across the media landscape from content creation and production to post-production, film financing and AI.

Our Approach

We take a holistic approach to bodies of literary work to maximise long-term royalty streams through investment, development and thoughtful management.

We are literary first, and take all action to keep titles in the public consciousness, including investing in publishing, in promotion, and in new media and adaptation opportunities. As a family, we take a long-term patient capital approach, investing for whole-life of copyright and beyond.

Collaboration with the author or family is critical and we see each investment as an ongoing partnership.
